In deference to the safety of the public and the staff of the Airport and Auction Company, the 2020 edition of the annual Pittsburgh International Airport Auction will be conducted as a VIRTUAL ONLINE ONLY auction.

 

This year’s merchandise will include approximately 30 units of retired equipment and abandoned vehicles. There will be no “lost and found” items (clothing, technology, etc.) offered in this year’s auction.

 

Full catalog listing with photos and descriptions will be available soon.

 

Bidders must register and bid online. Bids can be accepted before the set auction time. At 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2020 tune in online as our live auctioneers call bids and the prices advance. Bidders can bid from the safety of their home from their laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone. No crowd will be assembled on-site in-person at the time of the auction to place bids; all bids must be placed via our secure online bidding platform.

 

Interested bidders can register to attend one of two scheduled preview sessions on-site on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. COVID-19 Community Safety guidelines in effect at the time of the preview will be strictly enforced including but not limited to: mandatory face covering, social distancing, and hand washing. The number of persons permitted in the hanger for preview sessions will be limited and monitored to ensure proper community safety.

 

Successful bidders must appear in-person to complete their required title work. Pickup will be scheduled by appointment only and must occur on Friday, October 2, 2020 (no exceptions).

 

Terms: All major credit cards accepted. Certified check and wire transfer also accepted. 15% Buyer’s Premium on all purchases.

Preview Information:

On-site preview will be available only on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Entry to the location to view the items will be controlled and all guidelines and directives from the local and state governments will be observed. Times for preview will be 10:00 - 11:00 AM and 2:00 - 3:00 PM with controlled entry.

 

Payment Information:

At the conclusion of the auction, all successful bidders will be invoiced for the lots they have won. At that time, all cards on file will be charged for the invoice totals. If the card on file fails, the bidder will be contacted by our staff to arrange alternate payment. We will accept all major credit cards, cash, check (with positive ID and a bank letter of credit for checks of $10,000 or more), certified checks/cashier checks, money orders, and wire transfers. 15% Buyer's Premium on all lots.

 

All Items Sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS

ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD STRICTLY AS-IS WHERE-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. Bidders should rely solely on their inspection of the items before making any bid. Your bid is a binding contract. If you are unable or unwilling to pay for the item should you win it for a particular bid amount, do not bid.

 

Pickup and Title Processing:

All successful bidders are required to appear in person on Friday, October 2, 2020 between the hours of 9:00 - 11:30 AM and 1:30 and 4:00 PM to pick up their item and complete paperwork to be submitted to Penn DOT for application for title. When appearing on pickup day to complete title paperwork, bidder will be required to present valid government issued photo ID. All items must be paid for in full before they can be released at pickup. Titles can take up to 90 days to process from Penn DOT.

All bidders must have photo identification when appearing to pick-up their item. Buyers must note: they will be responsible for payment of tax/title fees.

These items will receive titles process from PennDOT as a previously abandoned vehicle. Title processing could take up to 90 days or more to process.
