Directions: From I-376, heading west from Pittsburgh, exit at # 57 “Interstate 376 Business toward Moon.” Continue approximately 3 miles to a left on Hangar Rd. At the stop sign, turn left. Auction location will be directly ahead on the left. Watch for “Joe R Pyle” signs.

Vehicles will begin selling at 12:00 noon.

Auction begins at 10:00 AM with off-line lots only of lost and found items such as jewelry, phones, tablets, sunglasses, clothing, etc. Click here to view that list.

Bidders can participate either online or in-person to bid on the vehicles, rolling stock, and other equipment ONLY. Pre-bidding is available for these lots and they will close when the live bidding concludes at 12:00 noon on 10/23/2021.

Internet bidding is not available for lost and found items, these items are available for live in-person bidding only.

Bidders can inspect the items in person starting at 8:30 AM on 10/23/2021.

On-site bidders will be required to tender payment in full the day of the auction and to complete appropriate paperwork with Airport Authority personnel to process title request the day of the auction. For online bidders, the card on file will be automatically charged. If that payment type files, the bidder will be contacted by Auction Co staff to arrange alternate payment and arrange to appear in person to complete required paperwork and take possession of their item(s).

The Airport Authority will apply for a title for each vehicle through the appropriate process with PennDOT. It can take 90-days or more for the title to be obtained from PennDOT in the Airport Authority’s name. The airport will then complete the title in the name of the successful bidder and mail the title to the bidder. NOTE: Successful bidders can expect 90 days or more to receive the title. Local bidders are encouraged to appear in person on the auction date between 12-2pm to complete required paperwork. Non-local bidders will be contacted via email the week following the auction with documents to print, sign in ink in the presence of a notary, and return via mail along with applicable tax, title, and notary fee in the form of personal check made payable to Allegheny County Airport Authority.


Terms: Cash. Checks accepted with Positive ID and Auction Co approval. Personal checks for $10,000 or more must be accompanied by a Bank Letter of Credit. Auction Co accepts money order, cashier’s check, certified check, and bank wire transfer. All major credit cards will be accepted. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium on all purchases. Buyer’s premium will be reduced to 10% for on-site bidders paying with cash or check. All items must be paid in full before removal.
